Description:

The grounds of the Wright Brothers National Memorial contain historical markers recounting each attempt at powered flight and replica camp buildings; the most recognizable landmark is the 60-foot granite monument on top of Big Kill Devil Hill. It is located between the Atlantic Ocean and Albemarle Sound, just north of Nags Head. The visitor center showcases interpretive presentations and a full-scale reproduction of the Wright Flyer while the pavilion’s exhibit hall features special exhibits and a replica of the 1902 Wright Glider.

Visitor Center and Centennial Pavilion: Open Jun - Aug: daily, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sep - May: daily, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Individual $4, pass valid for 7 days. Children 15 and under are free.
